Bethany Benson is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Board-Certified Supervisor for the State of Maryland. She has experience working with adults, children, and families in both the school and outpatient settings. Before joining Balance Point Wellness, she worked with children ranging from ages four to fifteen in a school setting and adults experiencing chronic homelessness in Baltimore City.

Bethany has experience working with individuals with various diagnoses, including but not limited to Adjustment Issues, Grief, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder, Trauma, Anxiety, and Depressive Disorders. She uses an eclectic approach grounded in CBT, Play therapy, and Person-Centered, tailored to each individual’s specific needs. Bethany believes in the power of a positive therapeutic relationship to help each individual find healing and reach their fullest potential.

Kara Bosworth, LMSW

Position: Licensed Master Social Worker, Masters in Social Work From Walden University

Kara is a Licensed Master Social Worker who graduated from Walden University with a Master’s in Social Work. Kara has work experience in school and clinical settings and experience in the field of crisis response. Kara completed her first internship at a nursing and rehabilitation facility in Philadelphia and her second at a mental health therapy office in Baltimore City. Kara primarily has experience working with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and stress management.
As a therapist, Kara encourages her clients to reach their full potential using goal setting and management to accomplish their goals. Kara is here to help and equip her clients with skills, tools/techniques, and resources that can be used to assist them in their daily lives, as well as provide a place where they can be heard and listened to. To achieve this, Kara uses cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), play therapy, and mindfulness with her clients.

Olivia Braganza, LGPC

Olivia Braganza is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in clinical professional counseling from Loyola University Maryland. She is dedicated to supporting individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and couples, with a strong commitment to integrating a holistic approach to mental health in her therapeutic practice.

Olivia has experience assisting adolescents and adults struggling with emotional dysregulation, situational stressors, and interpersonal concerns. She is comfortable working with clients dealing with a variety of mental health concerns, such as anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma.

Her treatment approach is tailored to the unique needs of each client and draws from a diverse array of therapeutic modalities. These include emotion-focused therapy, experiential techniques, mindfulness-based strategies, solution-focused interventions, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, and somatic therapy. Olivia’s practice is grounded in providing a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore and grow at their own pace.

Shenna is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and believes in the power of a positive therapeutic relationship and the client’s ability to utilize their strengths in their treatment. She has experience as a school-based mental health therapist, working with children in Baltimore City who present with various diagnoses.

She has also worked with adults in several outpatient mental health settings who have struggled with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, and other diagnoses. Her approach incorporates many treatment modalities, and she will utilize whatever feels right with each client. Shenna enjoys using humor in sessions to help clients develop the skills and resources necessary for positive change and personal growth.

Elizabeth is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) from Salisbury University – School of Social Work. She has experience working with children and adults in both individual and group settings. In addition, she has experience working with individuals seeking treatment for anxiety, depression, PTSD, family/relationship conflict, parenting skills, anger management, trauma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief and bereavement, and other co-occurring disorders.
Elizabeth uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a strengths-based approach to help her clients grow from personal experiences and conflicts. Elizabeth sees the importance of the therapeutic relationship, so she offers a safe space and nurturing environment for all her clients. Elizabeth has a strong passion for helping her clients reach their full potential and supporting them during their time of growth.

Celia is a Board Certified Nutrition Specialist and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist with a deep passion for promoting health and well-being through personalized nutrition and lifestyle guidance. She holds a Master's Degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health with a Concentration in Herbal Medicine from the maryland University of Integrative Health. She has successfully guided clients of all ages and backgrounds towards increased health and vitality, with a focus on cardiometabolic health, digestive support, hormone balancing, and mental health nutrition. Celia believes in fostering a compassionate, non-judgmental, and inclusive approach to health and well-being. She draws from functional medicine, herbalism, Health at Every Size®, and Intuitive Eating, a mindful and compassionate framework that helps individuals break free from diet culture and embrace a more balanced and joyful approach to eating. She enjoys collaborating with clients to create customized plans tailored to their unique health needs.

Yvette Lyn Myers, M. Ac., L.Ac.

Licensed Acupuncturist
Masters in Acupuncture from TAI SOPHIA / Maryland University of Integrated Health.

Yvette Myers is an acupuncturist licensed by the state of Maryland. Over seventeen years ago, she received her Master of Acupuncture degree from TAI SOPHIA/ Maryland University of Integrative Health in Laurel, MD. She specialized in the study of the Five Element teachings of J.R. Worsley and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Since graduation, Yvette has provided detoxification acupuncture to clients in two Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Substance Abuse programs in Baltimore City.

In her private practice, she treats various general medical conditions, including chronic pain, headaches, allergies, anxiety, depression, sports injuries., etc. Working in concert with Dr.’s, therapists, and other practitioners to combine Eastern and Western medicine for the best possible outcomes. Yvette helps her patients discover their healing abilities by supporting them along their healing path.

Rochan Olson-Burrell, DAOM, L.Ac, MATCM

Licensed Acupuncturist
Masters and Doctorate in Healthy aging and Longevity from Yo San University.

Dr. Rochan Olson-Burrell is a nationally licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She graduated from Yo San University in 2012 with a master’s in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and went on to get her doctorate in 2014 with a focus on healthy aging and longevity.

She spent time in China studying at the Shanghai University spending time in the stroke center. She had a private practice in LA for eight years where she treated a wide variety of conditions, including but not limited to pain, digestion, PMS, fertility, stress, and anxiety. She focuses on treating the whole person physically, mentally, and spiritually, using many different modalities in combination with lifestyle and nutrition coaching to empower the patient to help heal themselves, working to treat the root cause, not just the symptoms.

Note: Ms. Olson-Burrell works in the Hunt Valley office.
