Melissa Ouazana, LGPC

Position: Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor Masters in Professional Counseling from Loyola University
Categories: Baltimore County

Melissa has experience working with children, adults, and families in various settings, including schools and partial hospitalization programs. She has experience treating clients with ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, school-related issues, and various other diagnoses. Melissa’s goal as a therapist is to create a supportive and intentional space for positive change.

She utilizes multiple counseling theories and techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy based on each individual’s unique needs. Melissa strives to help her clients process and recognize the root of their struggles, develop healthy coping skills, and assist them in living a life aligned with their true values.

Noah Shipman, LMSW

Position: Licensed Master Social Worker Masters in Social Work from Temple University

Noah Shipman is a licensed master social worker from Temple University. He has recently relocated to the state of Maryland from the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. Noah has been in clinical practice for 4-5 years. Noah utilizes an eclectic multi-faceted approach in his daily clinical practice.

Noah strongly believes that building a trusting and worthwhile therapeutic relationship is built on meeting the client’s current daily life experience. Noah is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, some ACT therapy principles, motivational interviewing, the ESFT model (Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy), and Solution-Focused therapy. Before joining Balance Point Wellness, LLC, Noah worked in the community as a Family-based clinician and a Behavioral Specialist Consultant in a Wraparound program.

Mary is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical with a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University. In addition to her experience as a clinician in outpatient and school-based mental health programs, Mary has a background working in the child welfare system and has a particular passion for working with children who have experienced trauma.

Mary specializes in Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Trauma-related disorders in children and adults in school-based and Equine Facilitated Therapy settings

Ariella Bernstein, LMSW

Position: Licensed Master Social Worker Masters in Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work.

Ariella is a Licensed Master Social Worker who graduated from the University of Maryland – School of Social Work. Ariella has a passion for working with children and families to support overall psychological flexibility. She has experience working with children, teenagers, and adults who are struggling with grief, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and various medical diagnoses.

Ariella has a background working with children in school and hospital settings. Ariella meets individuals where they are at to create a nurturing therapeutic environment. She utilizes evidence-based practices and the therapeutic relationship to work towards the client’s treatment goals.

Heather is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned her graduate degree from Southeastern University. She specializes in providing therapy to young children experiencing a variety of challenges. Heather is passionate about helping children learn to identify and process emotions using mindfulness and coping skills.
