Germaine Banner-Wills, LCPC
Germaine has nearly 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. One of her core beliefs is perspective is everything, and she values the unique perspective each person brings into the counseling session. She has years of experience working with adults with a variety of mental health diagnoses, such as ADD/ADHD, anger problems, anxiety, depression/mood disorders, serious and persistent mental illness and PTSD and other trauma-related disorders.
Germaine has an active therapeutic style and takes an eclectic approach to therapy; utilizing different techniques depending on clients’ needs. Treatment options may include mindfulness-based approaches, CBT, DBT, ACT and Integrative health methods. Her approach to treatment is holistic. She encourages clients to explore how every aspect of their functioning, from what they eat and drink, to working environment, exercise, leisure, spirituality & engagement with family or friends impacts their mood and/or stress level, health, energy and spirit. Her goal is to help clients gain insights, change unwanted behaviors, improve the quality of their relationships and connections to others and achieve balance.
