Sam Finkel earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from Tulane University and is currently completing his master’s degree in Clinical Professional Counseling at Loyola University Maryland. Originally from the Rockville, Maryland area, Sam brings both academic training and real-world clinical experience to his work with clients.
Prior to graduate school, Sam worked at Capital Clubhouse, a non-profit organization supporting adults living with mental illness, where he served as a Mental Health Specialist. This experience strengthened his passion for helping individuals navigate emotional challenges, build insight, and improve overall well-being.
Sam is currently seeing clients at Balance Point Wellness in Baltimore, Maryland, under the supervision of Kate Eckstine. He is known for his genuine, approachable style and his ability to help clients feel understood and supported. Sam works collaboratively with clients to identify patterns, connect past experiences to present challenges, and develop greater self-awareness. When appropriate, he incorporates humor into sessions to create a comfortable and engaging therapeutic environment, blending empathy, insight, and authenticity to support meaningful personal growth.
