Abi is a descendant of the Lac Courte Oreilles band of Lake Superior Ojibwe and grew up in
North-Central Wisconsin.
Abi received her BA in Psychology, French Studies, and American Indian Studies from the
University of Minnesota in 2020, and is currently completing her MS in Clinical Mental Health
Counseling at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Her professional interests focus on
integrating traditional approaches into mental health care for Tribal communities, particularly
Urban Indian populations, and the potential for land-based healing as a successful intervention.
Personally, Abi loves spending her free time with her four cats and making her family and
friends anxious by wandering through the woods alone.
