Improve your interpersonal skills Through Adventure Activities & therapy

Step Into Growth with Adventure Therapy
Healing doesn’t always happen in an office — sometimes, it happens on a rope course, in a canoe, or at the top of a climbing wall.

Adventure Therapy at Balance Point Wellness offers a powerful, hands-on approach to emotional growth, designed for individuals, families, and groups ready to step outside their comfort zone and into lasting change.

Set at the scenic Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center, our adventure therapy program blends nature, physical challenge, and clinical expertise. Under the guidance of licensed therapists, clients participate in structured outdoor activities that build trust, resilience, and emotional insight — all while moving, collaborating, and problem-solving in real time.

Adventure Therapy

Through experiential therapy techniques, participants learn to:

– Improve communication and teamwork

– Navigate social and emotional challenges

– Build self-confidence and healthy
boundaries

– Understand risk, decision-making, and
consequence in a safe, supportive
environment

Whether you’re working through anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, or family dynamics, this nature-based therapy setting helps bridge the gap between what’s learned in session and what’s lived out in the real world. The low and high challenge courses are adaptable for all ages, abilities, and therapeutic goals.

Adventure Therapy isn’t just play — it’s clinically grounded, deeply transformative, and uniquely effective. For children, teens, and adults alike, it opens the door to healing in ways traditional talk therapy can’t always reach.
