Kate is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University and a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of Baltimore. They have an extensive background in mindfulness practices, which they integrate into the therapeutic experience when applicable. Kate has experience working with clients who experience mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, complex trauma, PTSD, and gender and sexual identity exploration.
Kate specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ folks and is dedicated to providing culturally competent care as well as neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+-affirming care. They approach all therapeutic interventions from a trauma-informed framework that holds space for the impact that environmental and sociopolitical systems have on mental health. Kate’s approach to therapy involves ensuring client safety and security in being one’s most authentic self. They integrate lived-experience-informed approaches and evidence-based practices to shape the therapeutic experience to each client’s needs while prioritizing client autonomy and safety throughout the process.
