Juanita is a Licensed Master Social Worker who graduated from the University of Maryland—Baltimore. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bowie State University. She believes in a person-centered approach to everything, as we are humans first. She also believes the resiliency of the human spirit is often unnoticed but should be celebrated. She is passionate about helping teenagers and young adults gain the skills needed to find their success in life. She has experience working with youth and adults experiencing ADHD, autism, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma survivors, and improving communication skills and personal life skills. Her approach to therapy uses a trauma-informed lens to a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused brief therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing.
She believes therapy is most effective when the client participates in finding the solution that works for them in partnership with their therapist, working together to reach their highest potential.
