Jennifer Kraus, LCSW-C
Jennifer is a Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical, who obtained her graduate degree from Salisbury University and an undergraduate degree from UMBC. She specializes in helping children and adults through a hands-on experiential approach, utilizing horses. This modality is ground-based (no horse experience is necessary) and uses metaphors to help clients create positive life changes.
Jennifer has been certified through the Equine Growth and Assisted Learning Association since 2014, and holds their Military Service Designation. She often incorporates CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused theories into sessions. Jennifer believes Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy can be beneficial to almost anyone. She has worked with individuals who have experienced challenges from ADHD, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Alzheimer’s Disease, depression, Non-Verbal Learning Disorders, and trauma.
Note: Ms. Kraus works in our Harford County Office and at Bay Meadows Farm, where she provides Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy.
